Telfer Oil Company recently placed TruPave Engineered Paving Mat on Civic Drive in front of the Lesher Center for the Performing Arts in the City of Walnut Creek. TruPave was placed on a 100% milled surface using the Asphalt Interlayer Association's recommended "Finish Grinding" specification at night. Due to the placement of the material on the milled surface, the application shot rate of the asphalt binder (PG70-10) was increased. The final application rate was in the .23-.25 gallon per SY range. This increased shot rate allowed complete embedment of the TruPave and a guaranteed a waterproof application. TruPave is the premier paving mat on the market in California and is still the only glass based paving mat material that offers protection from cracking in a 360 degree horizontal plane when placed on the existing pavement.

Telfer Oil Company introduces the formation of a new company in Arizona. Based in Apache Junction, AZ, Telfer Highway Technologies, LLC (AZ Contractors License # 254567) will apply Bonded Wearing Course and/or chip seal operations much the same its CA sister company Windsor Fuel Company does.
General Manager for the new company will be Karl Meyers and Operations Manager will be Mike Fain with Steve Bless running the local operation and office. Telfer Highway Technologies hopes to bring the knowledge and experience that they have exhibited by doing projects throughout California, Nevada, Utah and even Idaho and Washington to the Arizona markeplace.
The Telfer Companies welcome Telfer Highway Technologies to the fold.
