The Bonded Wearing Course (BWC) process combines the strength of hot mix with the flexibility of an ultra-thin maintenance treatment.
Applied at thickness of 1/2" - 1", BWC can be used as a preventive maintenance or surface treatment for those tough to maintain arterials and collectors.
Using a specially-designed paving machine, Bonded Wearing Course places a variety of types of hot mix asphalt materials on an asphalt tack coat (see picture left).
